Dr. Paul Austin, MD – Houston, TX

As Chief of Urology, I have the privilege of leading the Texas Children's Hospital Urology Team in providing comprehensive, quality care for children with any genitourinary anomaly. Our mission at TCH Urology is empowering people to strive for excellence and make an impactful difference towards others. Our goal is for TCH Urology to be the premier program in Texas, regionally, nationally & internationally in clinical care, training, research & academics.

TCH Urology has robust academic and research programs that are federally funded by several extramural grants and allows us the ability to advance and move the needle within pediatric urology. My personal interests are the molecular pathways involved with renal injury resulting from obstructive uropathy. I am also recognized as a leading clinical trial investigator of lower urinary tract function and serves on global advisory panels for national and international urology clinical trials.

I am the current Secretary/Treasurer of the Societies of Pediatric Urology and have served as the General Secretary for the International Children's Continence Society. I have served on the Executive Committees for the Society of Pediatric Urology, American Association of Pediatric Urology and Section on Urology of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
